British PM to discuss Ukraine aid with Trump in US

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham plans to visit the United States in September to attend the UN General Assembly's high-level week, Report informs, citing Bloomberg.

Burnham told the agency in an interview that he looked forward to going to New York in September and noted that this would be his first visit to the US as Prime Minister.

According to Bloomberg, during the trip Burnham intends to persuade US President Donald Trump to provide Patriot air defense interceptor missiles to Ukraine before winter.

The Prime Minister also revealed that European leaders are considering holding a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing (CoW) for Ukraine aid during the UN General Assembly.

Burnham added that this had not yet been confirmed, but most leaders were inclined toward it.
