Xiaomi to reject Mi in its smartphone names

Xiaomi is ceasing production under the Mi brand, Report informs, citing XDA-Developers.
The company said its devices would be named in line with an alternative scheme. So, instead of the new Xiaomi Mi 12, the Chinese vendor will present Xiaomi 12. According to the portal, in China, some products have already got rid of the prefix Mi.
The company has not yet provided official comments regarding the issue.
