No serious side effects have so far been observed in Azerbaijan, Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Control and Prevention Department of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), said at a briefing of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers.
"According to world practice, vaccination against viral infections is generally recommended before starting a new family and planning a child. Since the infection of any young woman during pregnancy can create difficulties for the child's development and the fetus. Therefore, it is more medically convenient to consider these facts in advance."
