TABIB comments on vaccination of people over 60 with AstraZeneca

Because of the limited number, the AstraZeneca vaccine from the Covax platform is given only to people over 60 years of age, said Nazrin Mustafayeva, a Working Group member on Infectious Diseases, of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), Report informs.
"As a limited number of vaccines were imported to the country, the first stage plans to inject elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases. This is also provided in the existing standard on vaccination," she said.
According to Mustafayeva, there is no decision on the following injection six months after vaccination: "This issue will be known after clinical trials."
