Jeyhun Bayramov receives outgoing German ambassador

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Germany's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ralf Horlemann, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

The meeting included an exchange of views on the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. The importance of developing cooperation in political dialogue, trade and economic ties, energy security, green energy, transport and communications, education, healthcare, and cultural‑humanitarian fields was emphasized.

Both sides highlighted the contribution of high‑level visits and contacts to the development of relations and discussed the potential for further expansion of cooperation, including the promotion of ties between business circles of the two countries.

The meeting also addressed the post‑conflict situation in the region, the Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process, and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories.

The outcomes of COP29 hosted by Azerbaijan were highlighted as a contribution to advancing the climate agenda, with cooperation opportunities in green transition and renewable energy reviewed.

Minister Bayramov wished Ambassador Horlemann success in his future endeavors. The ambassador expressed gratitude for the support provided during his tenure in Azerbaijan.

Other regional and international issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
