Central Bank of Azerbaijan reduces discount rate

The Management Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) made a decision to reduce the discount rate by 0.25 percentage points from 8% to 7.75%.
Report informs, citing CBA, that the lower limit of the interest corridor was reduced by 0.25 percentage points from 6.5% to 6.25%, and the upper limit was reduced by 0.25 percentage points from 9% to 8.75%.
This decision comes into force from tomorrow. The next decision on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be announced on March 28.
