CBA discusses digital transformation of financial sector in Uzbekistan

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) held discussions on the digital transformation of the financial sector in Uzbekistan, Report informs, citing CBA.

A delegation led by First Deputy Governor of CBA, Aliyar Mammadyarov, paid a working visit to Tashkent and participated in the Monetary Policy Dialogue – 2026 forum organized by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

The forum, dedicated to the theme Monetary Policy in the Context of Global Volatility and Digitalization, addressed the digital transformation of the sector, as well as the prospects for applying artificial intelligence and machine learning in macroeconomic analysis, inflation forecasting, banking supervision, and the development of payment infrastructure.

It was emphasized that the introduction of new technologies must be accompanied by strong operational resilience, cybersecurity, and effective risk management mechanisms.
