Azerbaijan posts 42% growth in budget surplus

In January-May 2023, Azerbaijan’s budget revenues stood at 13.961 billion manats ($8.2 billion) and expenditures at 11,142.4 million manats ($6.6 billion), respectively, up 12.2% and 6.6% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Consequently, the surplus amounted to 2,818.6 million manats ($1.7 billion), 41.5% more than the previous year.
