Gas prices in Europe down 7%

The prices of natural gas in Europe at the opening of exchange trading on December 24 decreased by 7% and dropped below $1,450 per 1,000 cubic meters, Report informs referring to the data of the London stock exchange ICE.
The January futures price on the TTF hub in the Netherlands dropped to $1,441.
The general decline in gas prices exceeded 27% on December 23.
The exchange price of gas in Europe on December 21 for the first time in history exceeded $2,000 per 1,000 cubic meters amid imminent cold and abnormally low gas reserves in European underground storage facilities.
