During trading on Monday, the gas price in Europe exceeded $ 600 per 1,000 cubic meters or EUR 49.26 per MWh, said London stock exchange ICE.
Last week, gas cost about $ 580 per 1,000 cubic meters. However, within a few days, its value dropped by almost $ 100. The reason for this was false rumors about the alleged start of gas supplies via Nord Stream 2 and then on the message of Gazprom about possible supplies of 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas via Nord Stream 2 in 2021.
