Azerbaijan's oil sales to Turkiye down by 33%

Azerbaijan exported 218,277.77 tons of crude oil to Turkiye for $120.136 million in the first six months of 2022, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

In January-June of this year, the exported crude to Turkiye decreased by 33.2% in volume and by 12.03% in value.

The crude oil exports to Turkiye made 1.69% of Azerbaijan’s total exports.

In the first six months of this year, according to customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported over 12.915 million tons of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks. The country earned over $9.361 billion from these sales.

In the last six months, $18.479 billion of Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover came from export revenues and $6.357 billion from import expenditures. Over the past year, Azerbaijan’s exports soared by 2.1 times and imports went up by 17.9%.
