Scientists at the University of Bremen in Germany have discovered microorganisms that can grow and develop in the atmosphere of Mars, Report informs, referring to a study published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology.
Thus, based on cyanobacteria or blue-green algae, it is possible to create life-support systems for people who will live on the surface of Mars.
Scientists have found that cyanobacteria can survive despite low pressure, using the gases in the Martian atmosphere as a source of carbon and oxygen.
