Azerbaijani candidate to take part in Latvian elections

Latvia has registered an Azerbaijani candidate for the next elections to the local self-government (local parliament) to be held on June 5.
According to Report's European bureau, MP Vugar Ecmanis, nominated by the Latvian Farmers' Union, was re-registered as a candidate for the Valmiera region.
Ecmanis is still the only Azerbaijani candidate registered in these elections in all of Latvia. He is originally from the Kurdamir region of Azerbaijan.
