Burger and hot-dog buns to be produced at Sumgayit Industrial Park

A project to produce buns for burgers and hot dogs will be implemented at the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park, managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy.

According to Report, citing the agency, Bimbo QSR Azerbaijan LLC has been granted resident status at the industrial park for the project.

The project has an investment value of 27.5 million manats ($16.1 million) and is expected to produce 150 million buns annually and create more than 100 new jobs.

Local raw materials will be used in the production process. The products are planned to be supplied to the domestic market as well as exported to countries in the region.

To date, 43 businesses with total investment projects exceeding 6.8 billion manats (nearly $4 billion) have been granted resident status at the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.

Residents have invested more than 5.6 billion manats ($3.3 billion) in the park and created over 6,400 jobs.
