Hollywood star Anthony Hopkins has released his first music album, Life Is a Dream.
According to Report, citing Kommersant, the actor recorded the album with the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.
In July, the 88-year-old actor announced that he was embarking on a music career. He revealed plans to release an album featuring compositions he had written over the past 60 years. Hopkins released the album's first track, Bracken Road, on July 10. The collection contains 12 compositions in total.
"I have been composing melodies all my life. Some of these pieces have been with me for decades, and I still return to them," the newspaper quoted Hopkins as saying.
The future actor began playing the piano at the age of four and actively composed music for theatrical productions as a teenager. In 2012, Anthony Hopkins received a Classic Brit Award for his contribution to the album And the Waltz Goes On. Last year, he performed his music publicly for the first time at a concert in Saudi Arabia.
