Azerbaijan reduces wheat imports by nearly 30%

In January–November of this year, Azerbaijan imported 1,094,975 tons of wheat worth $283,377,000, respectively, down 72,982,000 tons (6.2%) and $114,632,000 (28.8%) from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
During 11 months, the import value of 1 ton of wheat amounted to $258 (-24.1%). During January–November 2022, the import value of 1 ton of wheat was $340.
During the reporting period, the cost of importing wheat made up 1.8% of Azerbaijan's import costs.
