Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities showcased in Türkiye

Several promotional events showcasing Azerbaijan's tourism potential were held in Türkiye, organized by the official representative office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) under the State Tourism Agency, Report informs, citing the agency.

The program involved 10 local tourism industry representatives, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) CJSC, and covered the cities of Izmir, Ankara, Mersin, and Istanbul.

Around 500 Turkish tourism companies and media representatives attended the events, where Azerbaijan was presented as an attractive year-round destination. Participants received detailed information on city tours, shopping tourism, adventure and active leisure, cultural and business events, and B2B meetings were also held.

Special attention was given to the northern and northwestern tourism routes of Azerbaijan, highlighting infrastructure and winter tourism potential in those regions.

Representatives of Azerbaijan's Embassy in Türkiye attended the event in Ankara.

In the first quarter of 2026, the number of visitors from Türkiye to Azerbaijan increased by 13.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching 105,265 people.
