In Uzbekistan's Fergana region, a local resident installed a pool in the basement of a multi‑storey building and raised fish, including sharks.
According to Report, inspectors from the regional construction and housing‑communal services authority discovered the setup during a check at a building in the Muruvvat neighborhood.
It was revealed that the apartment owner had illegally occupied the basement and was using drinking water without authorization.
The individual was fined and ordered to vacate the basement within 15 days, dismantle the pool, and restore the area to its original condition.
A protocol was also drawn up regarding the illegal use of water.
