Turkish FM Hakan Fidan to visit Egypt

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Egypt tomorrow, Report informs, citing the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

According to the ministry, Fidan will attend the second meeting of the Türkiye-Egypt Joint Planning Group and hold bilateral meetings.

The meeting, to be co-chaired by the foreign ministers of the two countries, will discuss issues on the bilateral agenda, primarily the results of the second meeting of the Türkiye-Egypt High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council held in Cairo on February 4, 2026, as well as preparations for the third meeting planned to be held in Türkiye.

During the two-day visit, which will begin on August 13, the sides will also exchange views on regional issues.

Fidan previously visited Libya. During meetings in Tripoli and Benghazi, the sides discussed bilateral relations and military cooperation between Türkiye and Libya.
