Turkish Defense Minister reveals number of neutralized ISIS terrorists

As a result of Türkiye’s operations, 4,000 members of the ISIS terrorist group were killed, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said at a briefing during the Anatolian Eagle 2023 international tactical flight drills in Konya, Report informs.

He said that the fight against terrorism is one of the main goals of the Turkish Armed Forces: “We are the only state that is fighting several terrorist organizations at once. For more than 40 years, we have been fighting around the clock to get rid of the terrorist threat that hangs over our country. Terror harms people, terror destabilizes and threatens security. We are determined to fight to the end."

Akar stressed that the Turkish Armed Forces will continue to fight until the last terrorist is eliminated: “We will go to the end. The Turkish Armed Forces successfully carried out the Euphrates Shield, Olive Branch and Spring of Peace operations.”
