The Servant of the People party explained why Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered negotiations to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Report informs citing UNIAN that the chairperson of the Servant of the People party, Olena Shulyak, said that the party does not currently see steps from the West that could force Russia to stop: close the sky, disconnect Russia from SWIFT, impose an oil embargo against Russia and stop Russian exports.
"But the West does not do this. Yes, they have introduced new sanctions against Russia, but this is not enough. We are defending our country alone," the Servant of the People noted.
As the party said, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are acting very well. "Russia's plan for the first days of the invasion has clearly failed. That is why they are so cruel to civilian infrastructure and civilians," the report says.
“We will not forgive Russia for this. But it is obvious to everyone that it is necessary to immediately end the war. Therefore, the president, among other things, is proposing negotiations,” the Servant of the People said.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to sit down at the negotiating table.
