Putin: Epidemiological situation in CIS not easy

The epidemiological situation in the CIS is not easy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

“Taking into account the problems encountered during COVID, and even now, the situation is not the same, of course, thank God, but nevertheless, it is not easy from the point of view of the epidemiological situation,” Putin noted.

The president of the Russian Federation noted that biological safety issues concern all of Russia’s closest neighbors, and these topics will be discussed at upcoming meetings in St. Petersburg with the leaders of the CIS countries on December 25-26.
