At least one person was killed and two others were injured in US strikes on Iran's southwestern Khuzestan province, according to Iranian media, cited by Report.
US projectiles struck three locations in the province, including the areas of Bandar Mahshahr, Bandar Imam and Hamidiyeh.
Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its naval and aerospace forces had launched retaliatory strikes following US attacks on Iranian military sites.
In a statement carried by the Fars news agency, the IRGC claimed its joint missile and drone operation targeted 85 key US military facilities at Salman Port, the US Navy's Fifth Fleet area in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. It also claimed to have shot down an MQ-9 drone.
The IRGC said the US attacks were intended to "overshadow the farewell ceremony" for Iran's former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had struck more than 80 targets during overnight operations against Iranian sites and also targeted more than 60 IRGC boats.
The latest escalation follows CENTCOM's announcement of a "series of powerful strikes" against Iran in response to attacks on three vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Earlier, the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) revoked a license allowing the supply and sale of Iranian oil and petroleum products
