Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has reaffirmed Yerevan’s readiness to continue dialogue with Azerbaijan to sign a peace treaty.
Report informs via Armenian media that Mirzoyan made the statement during a briefing with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi.
He emphasized the need to continue working and negotiating to find mutually acceptable solutions for lasting peace.
"There is simply no alternative," the minister said, adding that Yerevan is prepared to sign a peace agreement with Baku as soon as possible.
On March 13, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced that negotiations with Armenia on the text of the peace agreement had been finalized.
Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that Armenia must meet two conditions for the peace treaty to be signed: removing territorial claims against Azerbaijan from its constitution and supporting the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group and its related institutions.
