IRGC says it struck US military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched missile and drone strikes on US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to the latest US strikes.

Report informs that IRIB published the IRGC statement.

According to the statement, late on Sunday, the IRGC Navy and Air Force used ballistic missiles and drones to attack eight US military infrastructure facilities, including Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the US Fifth Fleet base at Salman Port in Bahrain.

The statement also recalled that the United States had recently carried out strikes on five coastal posts of the Islamic Republic.

Under the Islamabad Memorandum, the rules governing traffic through the Strait of Hormuz belong to the Islamic Republic, and tougher measures than before will be taken against vessels violating these rules, the statement said.

The IRGC warned that even possible aggression against targets of minor importance would receive a crushing response. The statement emphasized that a violation of the ceasefire would contradict the first clause of the Islamabad Memorandum and said such cases would lead to the suspension of the negotiation process.

Earlier, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said "additional strikes" had been carried out on military targets in Iran.
