Gharibabadi: US strikes cause oil pollution off Iran's coast

US strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure have caused oil pollution along Iran's coast of the Persian Gulf, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said on X, Report informs.

"Oil pollution along the shores of Qeshm Island is a result of the strikes in the region," Gharibabadi said.

He added that the environmental damage along Iran's Persian Gulf coastline once again highlights the need for Iran, as a coastal state, to develop and implement a mechanism for managing the Strait of Hormuz.
