"In 2020, Georgia took special steps to develop border infrastructure, provide it with modern equipment, strengthen aviation capabilities, and deepen international cooperation," Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri said as he spoke during a 'ministerial hour' in parliament.
The construction of a new border post on the territory of the David Gareja Monastery (Kechikchidagh - ed.) on the border with Azerbaijan will be completed in the near future.
Gomelauri noted that Georgia plans to strengthen its border protection capabilities in 2021.
