Georgia has taken part in the US-led multinational Sea Breeze 2026 naval exercise, Report's Georgia bureau informs, citing the US Embassy in Georgia.

The embassy said it was pleased that Georgia participated in the exercise, which brought together NATO allies and partners.

"The main purpose of the exercise is to increase interoperability among participating countries and strengthen maritime security in the Black Sea region," the embassy said.

This year's Sea Breeze 2026 exercise focused mainly on mine countermeasure operations.

As part of the drills, participants received practical training in mine detection and neutralization, underwater operations and rescue measures, explosive ordnance disposal, and the use of unmanned systems.
