Erdoğan: Türkiye supports TRIPP initiative to strengthen Middle Corridor

Türkiye supports initiatives such as TRIPP, which are strategically important for the region and will further strengthen the Middle Corridor, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.

According to Report, Erdoğan made the remarks while answering questions from US magazine Newsweek.

He said Türkiye attaches importance to the Trans-Caspian East-West Middle Corridor, which connects Asia and Europe, taking on a greater role in global logistics and trade.

"At the same time, together with Iraq, we are implementing the Development Road Project, which will connect the Persian Gulf with Türkiye and, through Türkiye, with Europe. We are also putting forward a vision for new rail and road connections to Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia," Erdoğan said.
