Erdoğan speaks about fight against mafia in Turkey

"We have made Turkey safe by clearing it of international organized criminal agents in 19 years," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at an enlarged meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Report informs.
"We fought against organized criminal groups. We took away their opportunities and overthrew them one by one. About 1,700 operations have been carried out against such groups in the last five years. More than 550,000 operations were done in this direction in 3.5 years, and 85 people were detained. As a result of the operations, more than TRY 63 billion worth of drugs were seized from them," he stressed.
