Armenia, US mull regional situation

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin have discussed the priority directions for cooperation at a meeting in Pentagon.
Report informs via Armenian media that Papikyan confirmed Armenia's intention to achieve lasting peace in the region. Austin expressed Washington's support of these aspirations.
The sides discussed issues related to defense cooperation between the two countries. Austin said the cooperation between them continues to expand.
The Pentagon chief voiced US readiness to continue to assist reforms in Armenian army. They discussed issues related to international and regional security.
