Armenia reports record spike in daily COVID-19 fatalities

Armenia confirmed 2314 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide case tally to 77, 837, Report says, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll reached 1180 as a record number of patients (23) fell victim to the virus. So far, 50, 908 people have recovered from the infection.
There are currently 25, 412 active COVID-19 patients in Armenia.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
