One fifth of population contracts coronavirus in Georgia

Although the epidemiological situation in Georgia has worsened, it remains under control, Report's Georgian Service informs, citing Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of Georgia.
According to him, 20% of the country's population have contracted coronavirus.
“We can say that a certain collective immunity has formed in Georgia,” he said
The chief epidemiologist noted that it will be possible not to use a protective medical mask outdoors if the remaining 60% of the population is fully vaccinated.
