WUF13 to help assess implementation of initiatives adopted at COP29 — Maimunah Mohd Sharif

World Urban Forum 13 will help assess the implementation of initiatives adopted at COP29, former Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme Maimunah Mohd Sharif said in response to a question from Report.

"World Urban Forum 13 will provide an opportunity to rethink, review and assess the extent to which the decisions and outcomes of COP29 have been implemented in cities," she noted.

According to Sharif, the forum will help evaluate how climate initiatives are being implemented not only in Baku, but also globally.

"It is important to understand the extent to which all of this is being implemented not only in Baku, but across the world. Many decisions were adopted during COP29 - on climate finance, support mechanisms and so on," she said.
