Afghan women protest for their rights in Kabul, Report informs via TOLOnews.
Women protesting in front of a ministry building in Kabul over women's issues demanded that the Taliban recognize certain rights of women.
The Taliban, who base their rules on Islamic Sharia law, have introduced several new laws regarding women. Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said women would no longer serve as ministers in the new government but can only work as assistants in ministries, the police, and the judiciary system.
Although the Taliban earlier said they would respect women's rights, old bans remain in the provinces.
