US to provide Egypt with $197 million worth of munitions

The US State Department has decided to provide $197 million worth of munitions to Egypt, Report informs, citing NEWSru.co.il.
The ammunition is intended for the Egyptian Navy. İt will significantly strengthen the protection of the country's coastal areas and the proximity of the Suez Canal.
"The ammunition supplied to Egypt, our strategic partner in the Middle East and a crucial non-NATO ally, is designed to increase the country's security and support US foreign policy and national security," the State Department said in a statement.
