The ceremony brought together Turkish officials and politicians, diplomats, public figures, academics and members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

Participants honored the memory of Azerbaijani service members who died fighting for the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Speaking at the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Aslanov said the determination of the country's commander-in-chief, the heroism of those who fought in the 44-day war and the resolve of the Azerbaijani people had ensured the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.

Recalling national leader Heydar Aliyev's phrase "One nation, two states," the ambassador emphasized the strength of friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, citing the Shusha Declaration as an example of their enduring cooperation.

Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said Azerbaijan's historic victory had created opportunities for lasting peace and stability in the region.
