US special envoy to Afghanistan to visit Kabul, Doha

US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad will visit Afghanistan, Qatar, and other countries in the region, Report informs, citing the State Department's press service.
The diplomat will meet with government officials and Taliban leaders in Kabul. Later, Zalmay Khalilzad will tour other countries in the area and hold talks with the heads of state to maintain lasting peace in the region.
The State Department did not provide details on which other nations Khalilzad will visit and how long it will last.
