US Defense Secretary hails exercises in Black Sea

The Black Sea exercises of the Romanian, US, Turkish and Ukrainian navies are a key component of the integrated defense strategy, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin said, Report informs.
“I often talk about the concept of ‘integrated deterrence’ as a way we will deter future military threats. One key component of a truly integrated deterrence strategy is working closely with allies and partners across the globe through joint land, air, and sea exercises,” Lloyd J. Austin tweeted.
Seven warships of the Romanian, US, Turkish and Ukrainian navies held exercises in international waters off the Romanian Black Sea coast on November 12.
