Torrential rains kill 29 in Philippines

The death toll from incidents linked to tropical cyclones Luis and Maymay, as well as the southwest monsoon (Habagat) in the Philippines, has risen to 29 people, Report informs, citing local media referencing the Philippine Office of Civil Defense.
The highest number of fatalities was recorded in Benguet province.
Additionally, 19 people were injured and 3 remain missing, local media noted.
The severe weather has affected over 6.5 million people. Of this total, over 47,000 individuals are currently staying across 628 evacuation centers.
The country's disaster management agency reported damage to 2,108 homes, including 1,882 partially damaged and 226 completely destroyed.
