One of the key objectives of the forum is to ensure closer alignment between the knowledge and skills of Azerbaijani engineers educated in Europe and Azerbaijan"s development priorities, Altay Rustamli, Chairman of the Board of the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, said in Hamburg at the 3rd Forum of Azerbaijani Engineers Living in Europe, according to Report's European bureau.
"We, as the Alliance of Azerbaijanis in Germany, have been creating various specialized platforms for several years. The main goal is to bring together Azerbaijani professionals living in Europe, promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, strengthen professional solidarity, and open new opportunities for cooperation," Rustamli said.
He noted that such meetings are important not only for professional dialogue, but also for aligning strategic perspectives and developing new cooperation opportunities.
"The main objective of the Forum of Azerbaijani Engineers Living in Europe, which we have been organizing since 2024, is to unite Azerbaijani engineers working across different European countries on a single professional platform, enable sustainable connections between them, and create new areas of cooperation," he added.
Rustamli expressed confidence that when professional capital formed abroad is systematically brought together, it becomes an important resource for both national development and international cooperation.
He also noted that participants of previous forums have returned to the platform alongside new colleagues, saying this demonstrates that the forum is not only an initiative, but a sustainable professional environment based on trust.
This year"s forum is being held under the theme "Smart City Technologies and Processes", which Rustamli said directly aligns with global technological trends and Azerbaijan's strategic development priorities.
He added that the knowledge and experience of Azerbaijani engineers in Europe represent an important resource for knowledge transfer, innovation, and development cooperation.
Rustamli said the forum should be seen not only as a discussion platform, but also as an institutional foundation for long-term professional cooperation, adding that established links are expected to evolve into scientific partnerships, technological projects, and industrial cooperation in the future.
