Russian ambassador summoned to Hungarian MFA over attacks on western Ukraine

Hungary has summoned Russia's ambassador in Budapest to the Foreign Ministry after Russian strikes on western Ukraine.

Report informs via HVG that Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar said this on Wednesday.

"The Hungarian government strongly condemns the drone attack on Zakarpattia. Foreign Minister Anita Orban has summoned the Russian ambassador to the Foreign Ministry," he said.

Russia earlier launched a large-scale air attack on Ukraine's western regions. Residential buildings and key infrastructure were hit in Volyn and Zakarpattia regions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had carried out one of its longest air attacks on Ukraine, using more than 800 drones.
