Powerful blast occurs in weapons depot in Libya's Misrata

A powerful explosion rocked a weapons depot in the city of Misrata in northwestern Libya, the Al-Wasat portal noted, Report informs.

According to it, as a result of the explosion, projectiles and ammunition were scattered in various directions around the depot, located in the El-Ghiran neighborhood in the southern part of the city. No information is currently available regarding the cause of the incident or possible casualties.

According to the portal's sources, the depot belongs to the al-Isar brigade.

Measures are being taken to ensure security in the area.
