NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has expressed his readiness to cooperate on increasing defense spending following a phone conversation with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, Report informs.
"Great first call with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth! To deter and defend we have to stay strong, united, and ready - and that’s what NATO is doing every day. Looking forward to working with you to further ramp up defence spending and defence production for a strong alliance," Rutte said in a post on X.
