NATO exercises start in Latvia

Exercises with the participation of NATO forces have started in Latvia, Report mentions, referring to RIA Novosti.
According to the country's Defense Ministry, Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, and Polish service members are taking part in the Iron Spear exercises at the Ādaži military base. The exercises aim to improve cooperation and interaction between the Latvian and Allied Armed Forces.
The exercises, which will last until April 9, involve tanks and armored vehicles.
In 2004, Latvia officially became a member of the Alliance.
