Moldova could look into quitting CIS to become EU member

The Government of the Republic of Moldova intends to analyze the laws and international agreements with the CIS in order to see whether they contradict the norms and requirements of the EU, Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu said, Report informs referring to PRO TV.
The Foreign Minister noted that the existing rules on the CIS should not hinder Moldova's membership in the European Union. According to him, most of the agreements signed within the CIS have long passed the filter of compliance with the country's European aspirations.
