The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has announced that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is not in the country, Report states, citing RIA Novosti.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry and the Afghan Embassy in Uzbekistan made similar statements.
One of Ghani's bodyguards told Al Jazeera that his plane had flown to Uzbekistan.
