Media: Crowds converge on Kabul airport as Taliban declare 'war is over'

US troops fired shots into the air at Kabul airport, as thousands of Afghans crowded the tarmac trying to catch a flight out of Afghanistan, Report informs, citing AFP.
"I feel very scared here. They are firing lots of shots into the air," a witness told AFP.
Several videos have emerged of people running onto the airport runways and trying to board flights.
The mass evacuation of western nationals is currently underway in the Kabul airport. According to sources in Brussels, this airport is the last biggest air harbor in Afghanistan that remains under the control of NATO-led troops, with the US, British and Turkish military ensuring its security.
