Macron announces date of next Coalition of the Willing meeting

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that a meeting of heads of state and government of the Coalition of the Willing in support of Ukraine will be held on July 13.

According to Report's European bureau, at a press conference following the EU summit in Brussels, the French leader said all coalition members have been invited to the meeting, including both European Union and non-EU countries. He noted that the coalition could play a role in providing future security guarantees to Ukraine.

Macron stated that EU leaders had reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, including military assistance, the restoration of energy infrastructure, and increased sanctions pressure on Russia, including through the preparation of a 21st sanctions package.

He also announced that Ukrainian servicemen will take part in the military parade in Paris marking Bastille Day on July 14.
