Russian citizens who evade the mobilization announced in Russia cannot count on Lithuania's help, Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Simonyte said, Report informs via TASS.
"Neither Lithuania nor other countries are obliged to help Russian citizens who do not want to be mobilized," Ingrida Simonyte told reporters.
According to the head of government, the Russians had enough time to do something and express their position on the events in Ukraine.
"I would not understand letting people into Lithuania for humanitarian reasons, for whom everything was OK when they sat on the couch and watched the war on TV, but it ceased to be OK when their government called them to participate in it personally," Simonyte said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a video message to the citizens of Russia, announced a partial mobilization in the country on September 21. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu noted that 300,000 reservists would be called up.
